Preparing Large Mailings

If your mailing cannot be carried out by hand in one trip, it is considered a large mailing. Large mailings can be picked up by Mail Services for shipping off campus or for delivery to another department.

Call Mail Services at (530) 752-0663 in advance to arrange for a large mailing. The delivery supervisor will determine the proper personnel, schedules, equipment and vehicle to be used in handling your large mailing. Some large mailings require a special trip that must be arranged in advance.

If no advance call is made, your extra mail may not be collected until the next mail delivery. If your large mailing has not been picked up, it may be possible to arrange a special collection before the next delivery by completing a Special Messenger Request. There will be a fee for this special service.
