Bulk Mail Services

Bulk Mail Services (BMS) can process virtually all of your bulk mailings quickly and accurately. The normal time to process your job is 3 working days. If your job requires a great deal of hand processing, then additional time will be needed. Please feel free to call us at 752-6685 to discuss any special job requirements or for possible cost saving factors. To initiate Bulk Mail services, fill out our Work Request Form.

The term "bulk mail" refers to quantities of mail prepared for mailing at reduced postage rates. The Postal Service uses the terms "bulk" and "presorted" interchangeably.

The Postal Service offers this discounted rate only when extra preparation is done, such as sorting the mail by zip code. The Bulk Mail Services can take the work out of processing your bulk mail.

The BMS primarily uses the Non-Profit permit imprint. The permit imprint is usually pre-printed on your material, but our Ink Jet equipment can also print it. We can also apply postage by meter or stamps.

To qualify for bulk mail rates, your mailing must meet the following minimum piece requirements:

• 500 pieces for First-Class Mail
• 200 pieces (or 50 pounds of mail) for Standard Mail
• 50 pieces for Parcel Post
• 300 pieces for Presorted or Carrier Route Bound Printed Matter
• 300 pieces for Presorted Library Mail
• 300 pieces for Presorted Media Mail (sometimes called "book rate")

All bulk mailing must be sorted, sacked and trayed, according to postal regulations and the proper postal forms must be filled out and accompany the bulk mail to the Post Office. We can take care of this for you. Just start by filling in our Work Request Form.

The BMS must standardize and CASS certify (based on the Coding Accuracy Support System)all mailings when we claim any postage discounts other than the basic presort bulk rates. This is a free service that we do automatically. These features, however, are only helpful as long as your mail piece is automation compatible.
